Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what happens to information when you use earnoxsecure.com: the enquiry form, the free finance tools (invoice and quote generator, VAT calculator, margin and markup calculator, fee and net payout calculator), and the website health and security checker. It is written to describe what this site actually does, not a generic template.

Who operates this site

This site is run under the name Earnox Secure. For privacy questions, including requests about information we hold about you, email contact@earnoxsecure.com.

The enquiry form

The enquiry form collects your name, email address, the service you select, an optional website address, and your message. We use this only to reply to you. Submitting the form sends an email to our enquiry address with your details in it, and your email address is set as the reply-to address so we can respond directly. Nothing you have typed elsewhere on the site, such as tool inputs, is attached to this message.

Two anti-spam checks run on submission: a hidden field that only automated software fills in, and a check that the form was not submitted implausibly quickly. Neither identifies you, and neither is stored beyond checking the submission itself. Submissions are also limited per sender to reduce abuse; this is a temporary, automatically expiring count, not a record of who submitted what.

When the form is accepted, our server hands the message to its mail system for sending. That confirms the message was accepted for delivery, not that it reached an inbox. If you do not hear back within a couple of working days, please email us directly in case it did not arrive.

The free finance tools stay in your browser

The invoice and quote generator, VAT calculator, margin and markup calculator, and fee and net payout calculator all run as JavaScript inside your own browser. Every figure you type, including client names, amounts, rates, and totals, is calculated on your device. None of it is sent to our server, and we have no record of what you enter into these tools.

If a tool offers to remember your inputs, for example as a saved invoice draft, that only happens if you actively tick the option to save it. When you do, the data is written to your browser’s own local storage on your device, not to our server. Each tool that offers this includes a control to delete the saved data again. Clearing your browser’s site data, or using a different browser or device, also removes it.

Downloading a generated document, such as an invoice as a PDF, is also handled entirely in your browser.

The website health and security checker

The checker works differently, because it has to look at a domain’s publicly visible configuration to produce a result. When you enter a domain name, it is sent to our server and used to run a set of checks (for example, security headers and email authentication records) against that domain. This processing is transient: the domain is used to produce your result and is not linked to your identity or your IP address.

A result may be cached briefly so that repeated checks of the same domain do not have to be run again immediately. That cache is keyed to the domain itself, not to you or to any visitor identifier.

To stop the checker being used to direct large volumes of automated requests at other people’s websites, we also count how many checks each visitor runs per hour. That count is tied to a hashed, short-lived version of your IP address, used only to enforce that limit. It is not stored alongside the domains you checked, and old counts are deleted automatically once their hour has passed.

The checker runs configuration checks against publicly available information. It is not a vulnerability scan, a malware scan, or a penetration test, and a clean result is not a guarantee that a website is safe. See our Disclaimer for more on this.

Cookies and your choices

This site uses a cookie banner with three categories: strictly necessary, analytics, and advertising. Necessary cookies, such as the one that remembers your cookie choice, cannot be switched off because the site cannot function without them. Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you actively turn them on. There are no pre-ticked boxes, and accepting and rejecting are given equal visual weight.

Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie set by this site, with a defensive backup copy in your browser’s local storage, and is honoured for up to 180 days before you are asked again. You can review or change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer.

Our cookie banner is a first-party mechanism that we built and control. It is not yet a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP).

Analytics

Analytics is off by default. If it is switched on, it will only run for a visitor who has granted the analytics consent category described above. It never runs before that choice is made, and never runs at all if you leave that category off or reject it.

Advertising

Advertising is not currently running on this site. If it is switched on in the future, an advertisement will only ever load for a visitor who has granted the advertising consent category, and never on a page that contains one of the free tools. Serving personalised advertising to visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland requires a certified Consent Management Platform, so advertising stays off until one is integrated.

Hosting and where information is processed

This site is hosted with Hostinger. Its web server is in Hostinger’s data centre in the United States (Phoenix, Arizona), and pages are delivered through Hostinger’s content delivery network, which can serve a request from a location closer to you.

Like most hosting providers, our host may keep standard server access logs, such as IP address, page requested, and timestamp, for security and reliability purposes. Those logs are kept and deleted under Hostinger’s own retention policy, which we do not set.

Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information. Enquiry form details are used only to reply to you and are shared only with the service providers needed to send that email, such as our hosting and mail delivery systems, and where required by law. Finance tool inputs are never sent to us at all, so there is nothing of that kind to share. Domain names entered into the checker are used only to run the check itself.

How long we keep information

The website itself does not store enquiry messages. They are delivered as email to our mailbox, and we keep them only for as long as we need them to reply to you and to handle any work that follows from your enquiry. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Rate-limit counters used by the enquiry form and the checker clear automatically once their hourly window passes. Checker results are cached for up to 15 minutes, keyed to the domain that was checked, not to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights over personal information we hold about you, such as asking to see it, correct it, or have it deleted. Because the personal information we typically hold is limited to what you send us through the enquiry form, exercising these rights is usually as simple as emailing us at contact@earnoxsecure.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or its tools change. The date this page was last updated appears at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
